Es gibt eine Vielzahl spannender und viel versprechender Impulse und Projekte, die den Gedanken der Nachhaltigkeit transportieren. Werkstatt N hat sie ausgezeichnet.
My project is performance orientated. It would be aimed at children to young adults and would consist of a performance and then workshop. Depending on the duration - be it a week, day, or afternoon the workshop participants could potentially create their own dance performances to share as an outcome of the workshop. There would be two main objectives to this project: a) Individual movement practice - to allow participants to explore movement in a safe, supportive atmosphere. b) To raise awareness about climate change and the various ways we can do our bit to protect the environment. The performance that would be shown is 'Our Oceans are Drowning' a 20 minute dance piece created in Berlin and supported by Dancebase (UK) and The Workroom (UK) with original soundtrack by Berlin based composers Aaron Jonah Lewis and Michael Tuttle with original choreography by Rosalind Masson.

Myself with the possibility of bringing in more collaborators/workshop leaders (money dependent)
I would like to pass on important information through experiential learning (dance) to children and young adults because they are the generation who have the power to curb carbon emissions. It is through education and reform that the issue of climate change can be tackled as I work in the creative sector my vehicle for sending a message is through education.
I am in the process of applying to Creative Scotland's International relations fund in order to support the project. I also have strong links with many dance organisations and centres in Berlin that I will approach with the project. Creative Scotland have already supported the making of the work with inkind costs, the piece has been highly regarded at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival so I am sure the arts council would be interested in supporting the development of the work.
Children and young people.
I have created a performance that has received 4 star reviews and has provoked many positive audience reactions. People are interested by the work then it's that perfect time to turn interest into active learning through education. Please refer to review: http://www.theskinny.co.uk/article/102772-our-oceans-are-drowning-and-this-is-not-a-dance-dance-base
I plan to organise a European tour of the work alongside educative workshops to ensure the message of the work is passed on and that people are engaged in the current issue of climate change. I am trying to connect with major organisations such as Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, 10:10 etc to help to support and nurture the work.
To raise awareness of the facts of Global Warming through performance and workshop. To educate through experiential learning allowing students to create their own performances to raise environmental awareness. To encourage action for individuals and groups to cut their carbon emissions with practical information and applied knowledge.
